Art & Soul, here we come!

We just learned we'll be participating at Vendor Night at Art & Soul in Hampton, Virginia (yay!) The event is on Saturday, May 2 from 7-10pm, at the Hampton Roads Convention Center Ballroom. We had a great time last year and are really looking forward to doing it again. Anyone going to Art & Soul in Hampton? Let us know ... we'd love to meet you!

Published!

I was browsing through some art books at Barnes & Noble and saw one titled "1,000 Handmade Greeting Cards". I never turn down the opportunity to see what other people are doing, so I started flipping through the book ... long story short, I found one of my cards on page 296! I couldn't believe it! I've been making and selling handmade cards for about a million years, but this was a first. I rarely toot my own horn, but ... toot, toot!

Snowbirds

We had a big snow here on the east coast ... loved it! In anticipation, I filled the bird feeders last night (I worry about those little guys). That got me thinking about my bird altered book that I started over a year ago (I took a class with Catherine Moore http://naturestudy.typepad.com/catherine_moore/) So I browsed through it and thought I'd share a little. On these pages, I used some goodies from the store (computer punch cards, ephemera, vintage children's book pages) ... and one of my favorite techniques ... doodling!
