Summertime is baseball time (anybody watch the All*Star game last night?). To me, the highlight of the season was when my family took our annual trek to a Cincinnati Reds game; I'd have it marked on my Snoopy calendar for weeks! So I've been collecting old baseballs and softballs for the past few months ... I think they'll look great on display in an oversized footed glass container, don't you?

There was a "how-to" in CL mag, I think- about taking old softballs and making flowers out of them - by cutting apart the outer covering. Kind of neat idea for less than cute balls!!!LOL
