So many pictures, so little time

It's funny how when there's a lot going on, there's no time to write (and conversely, when there's time to write, there's nothing going on!) So I'm making myself take the time to start posting some pictures of activities, finds and adventure from the past 3 weeks. First up, Country Living Fair in Columbus, Ohio. First stop was to see Teri Kelly at Thrifty Trixie www.thriftytrixie.com (PS - Got a skirt *and* another jumper this year!)
My conclusion after about 5 minutes ... there are *so* many clever people out there in the world!
My sister and I spent about an hour pouring over the flashcards...
Yeah, that's me just hanging out with Jenni Bowlin ... even took her advice and had the fried chicken and mashed potatoes from a nearby vendor. Love her! www.jennibowlin.com
I love this chair designed by NASCAR-driver-turned-chair-designer Shawna Robinson (no kiddin'!) from Happy Chair www.shawnarobinson.com (I came *this* close to buying it, but I didn't 'cause I just got a new chair in my room a few months ago. This is going to be one of those decisions I'll regret in a year when she's even more famous!)
Drool-worthy displays of ribbons...
I bought this chest of drawers for my sister for a house-warming present ...
Next up ... photos of 2 weekends of out-of-this-world estate sale shopping!

Good Fortune

Found this in my fortune cookie the other day ... after last week's rain and resulting flood in the basement, I'll take these showers all day long!
Thanks to all who have ordered the medium treasure boxes! I've been packing 'em up and shipping 'em out all week, so you should have yours soon!

{Distress Sale}

I'm having a {Distress Sale} because, frankly, I'm distressed! We've been having rain like you wouldn't believe here and yesterday I found water pouring in the basement door. See that shiny stuff? That's water coming out of my soaking wet rug!
Long story short, I've been cleaning out the storage area and have determined I have more treasures than I can post in a year. So I'm offering medium treasure boxes for $10 + $10.95 Priority Mail flat rate shipping (the USPS has to get their share). Each box will be filled to the gills with miscellaneous goodies that survived the flood! (I promise they won't be wet)

Back-to-school vintage style

Since today is the traditional first day of school for many, it got me thinking, why should kids get all the fun supplies? So I've posted a number of vintage back-to-school goodies at the store.
Weekly Readers! I used to love these (actually, I still do, but in a different capacity!)
Yearbook page from an all girls high school from 1947
See these and more at http://www.thepaperfleamarket.com/! {Update ... the scissors have already sold!}

Southern treasures

Going through the pics on my camera and wanted to share these fabulous images from shopping in Savannah a few weeks ago. {above} Look what one store did with washi tape! I just stood there looking at it with my jaw drooping ...
... then I saw these vintage school books from Belgium and my jaw hit the floor!
Nothing says summer like an old metal pink rocker with a perfect patina!
This was the display shelf at Back in the Day bakery. http://www.backinthedaybakery.com/
This is the interior of a spectacular fiber/needle art store called The French Knot. http://www.french-knot.com/ The owner is a young lady who has a masters in fibers from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Definitely going back there again.
I was sorely tempted by these bird cages, but passed ... kinda regretting that now.
