Playing with pattern

Rewatched the "Sewn" class videos from Mary Ann Moss while vacationing and was inspired to create this in my journal with washi tape and Copics (since I didn't pack my sewing machine...)

Yard sale crawl

 Went to a 40+ mild yard sale crawl yesterday ... my first ever. Started at 8:30 am and managed to go about 20 miles. Saw just about everything ...

 Beautiful countryside ... this was a Civil War battlefield

 Charming ...

 A giant moose head in the back of a pick up truck ... everybody was scrambling for their cameras!

 Found this for my friends at The Barn on Sweetwood ... they'll turn it into something fabulous!

Best deal of the day hands down ... found it in a FREE box!

This is just vial(s)

In the spirit of using special things, this is an outrageous collection of over 50 vintage vials, most with cork stoppers. Many have little tiny numbered labels. And if that weren't enough, each one is filled with beads, pearls or rhinestones! Eeeee! Comes in a well-loved dark green case with snap closure. And it's available at the store right now!

Channeling my inner child

Spent yesterday making cards with a sweet 8-year-old. We used glitter glue and sparkly flowers and supplies I've had for years but never opened 'cause I was saving them. You know the best thing about creating with kids? Instead of "oh, I can't use that, it's special", it's all about "oh, let's use that, it's special!" Here's to channeling your inner child!
