London: a travel blog

Spent last week in London! Will be revisiting some of my favorite moments thru pictures over the next few days. Come travel with me...

Day 1 (more like Day 1-1/2 because I didn't sleep on the flight over and we arrived in the am). London. Cruise on the River Thames, British Museum (I got chills when I saw the Rosetta Stone), the V&A Museum (I could have spent days in there) and dinner at Covent Garden.
The London Eye

Renting a bike is a great way to see the city; just remember to ride on the left!

Stumbled across a used prints and book sale

Tower Bridge

The artist in me appreciated this...

...and the type-nerd in me loved this! (The Rosetta Stone at The British Museum)

The V&A is a treasure trove of inspiration. And these are just the trays at the cafe! (love William Morris)

Outside the V&A in the courtyard

Had Pimms and a scone outside at the V&A

Getting to the Point

Book + beautiful wool thread = start of a new project! Been anxious to try Bargello needlepoint. Trying a basket weave ... will share more when the basket weave is more apparent!

Paint + patterns

Painting and experimenting with repeat patterns. The idea of creating some fabric or scrapbook/wrapping paper has been tickling my brain lately...

London bound

Spending a little time making a travel journal for London (leave one week from today!) This is the start of the inside covers (up cycled some cardboard and the Japanese papers I found at a thrift shop two weeks ago...eee!)

A turtle for Tuesday

Have spent the last few weeks at the beach so I was inspired to draw this in my art journal today...

Colorful return

Keeping up with a blog isn't easy! I have great admiration for those who do this everyday.

I do so much from my phone and found myself using Facebook because it was so simple. Then my young in-house tech department informed me "there's an app for that" and -voila- I can now blog from my phone. I'm so tech-challenged. Crayons are more my speed.
